777-to-60

On July 19, I will launch a fun (I hope!) and very personal experiment in which I count down the 777 days that will lead to my 60th birthday. First – I can hardly believe I will be 60 fairly soon. And second – I want to make this part of my life the exciting launch pad to the second half of my life.

To do that, I want to set some goals and then create small daily action steps that, if applied consistently, will make accomplishing those goals practically inevitable. For this experiment, I will NOT be using the SMART goal format. At least not explicitly on this site.

Instead, I’ll simply list the goal on this page, make a separate page for that goal, and track my process and my progress toward accomplishing it. Some of these will be small. Some will be almost unbelievably big. The size of the goal doesn’t matter, as long as it represents something I want to do, to be, or to have. In a fun twist to this whole experiment, I think it would be cool to achieve 60 different goals along the way. And by “different,” I mean different and not milestone goals leading to other goals. BUT – if that doesn’t happen, that is ok, too.

NOTE: This page will be a living document, intended for frequent updates to add goals – or to remove goals that have lost relevance to my life.
